Lying or... just wrong.

That old age question is back again. Harper either lied, or spoke without knowing the facts, which is a very, very dangerous thing for a man who holds his position (for now).

Stephen Harper last Wednesday:
"...after hundreds of millions of dollars and years and years of investment, not a single isotope had been created and the expert assessment we received was that there was no realistic reason to believe there would be any isotope production for years and years to come, if ever."
The Ottawa Citizen from today:
"[the MAPLE reactors] produced enough medical isotopes during some test runs to supply the needs of every Canadian hospital and clinic, a parliamentary committee was told Thursday."

You must understand, SH was brought up in a Canada whose citizens were OK, but not as good as Americans. View the world through his intellectual myopia and you will understand. Everything in Canada must be replaced by US-based things because they will, by definition, be better. So US reactors will be better. US style health care will be better. US banking will be better.

True visionaries (and SH thinks he is one) cannot allow evidence and logic to interfere with their belief system.

And besides, SH is right: Our top politician is NOT as good as his US counterpart!

Franklin was a pioneer in the field of archaeometry, which applies modern materials analysis to archaeology. She worked for example, on the dating of prehistoric bronze, copper and ceramic artifacts.[11] In the early 1960s, Franklin investigated levels of strontium-90—a radioactive isotope in fallout from nuclear weapons testing—in children's teeth.[11] Her research contributed to the cessation of atmospheric weapons testing.[10] Franklin has published more than a hundred scientific papers and contributions to books on the structure and properties of metals and alloys as well as on the history and social effects of technology.hotels in kovalamitunes gift card online

Often those same teachers are harrassed under the guise of supervision when the reality is that people who become teachers became so to produced educated adults not uneducated high school "graduates."

President Bush brought deep experience to the NSC leadership with his appointment of General Brent Scowcroft as National Security Advisor. Scowcroft had served in the Kissinger NSC, had been National Security Adviser in the last years of the Ford administration, and had chaired the President's Board examining the Iran-Contra affair. Robert Gates served as Deputy National Security Adviser under Scowcroft until his appointment as Director of Central Intelligence in 1991. Scowcroft's direction of the NSC was distinguished by the informality but intensity of the relationship with the President. The NSC also maintained good relationships with the other agencies, and Secretary of State James Baker and Scowcroft appear to have maintained the most comradely working terms. gogus buyutucuBoston Physical Therapy
